Announcement: Our NHS/Keyworker competition winner!

You may have seen we’ve been running our NHS/keyworker competition in the last few weeks with a free weekend in Centre Parcs up for grabs to say a massive THANK YOU to our local heroes.

We have been completely overwhelmed by how many people were nominated and have been touched by the kind and wonderful things said in each nomination about how tirelessly people have worked to care for others, keep the world turning, and generally go above and beyond in everyday life.

It’s heart warming to see so many people who are proud of their family member, friend or neighbour, and who want them to know their appreciation for all they do.

We wish we could give this prize to all the wonderful people who were mentioned, and want to say a special thank you to everybody who’s on the front line in any job for your hard work.

Yesterday, a name was chosen at random from the hundreds who were nominated.

So congratulations to:

Jade Batchelor who was nominated by Toni Brown!

We’ve heard how much you deserve a break Jade, and we’re so glad we get to give you and your family a relaxing weekend away once all this is over! We will be in touch to get your prize over to you (safely!) and you can begin planning your weekend.

Watch our video above to see our winner chat to Oakwood Home's director, Andrew, about her job in the NHS and her family!

Thank you again to everyone who took part! This competition has proven that we live in a fantastic place with a lot of compassion, kindness, and community spirit.

From all the team at Oakwood Homes.

You might not have even given it a second thought if it had not been discounted.

Should you hold out to get an offer from a cash buyer? Are they really the best option? Would you go to great lengths to ensure you could buy your next home with cash? Read this article to find out if cash is king in property sales.
