We love a success story at Oakwood, especially when we see the story develop from start to finish over several years. With the beautiful Weigall Place, our Land & New Homes team had a hand in it from the beginning, marketing, and selling the land with planning permission that the development now stands on to award-winning developer SJM Developments.
We knew 2 years ago that this spot was going to turn into something special once we completed on the sale of the land, as SJM Developments have previously won the Local Civic Award in 2019 for their Brompton Villas development in Westgate Bay Avenue in 2019.
Our team expertly assisted SJM in re-applying for planning permission at the time with their suggested amendments to create these stunning new build homes. The build officially broke ground in 2020, and two pairs of semi-detached immaculate homes were launched to the market by us in November 2020.

Of course, the specialised Oakwood Land & New Homes team knew the best way to find the most perfectly matched buyers for these homes, using targeted luxury marketing with brochures, photos, online enquiry forms, targeted advertising and blog posts, utilising our expansive existing database of potential new home buyers, our YouTube channel (which receives over 4000 views a week!), and our social media channels.
Successful results began to show immediately with the first unit reserved off plan just 5 days after launch!
It wasn’t long before all units were reserved, and work began for our team to help the new buyers through the sales process, assisting with finance, trusted partners, and ensuring everything moved along smoothly.
Since then, 3 of the 4 homes have completed with happy buyers already in situ. The last home is due to complete imminently and are preparing to finalise their move.
