Local Estate Agents Merge

Oakwood homes are delighted to announce their strategic acquisition and merger with Parkland Estates based in Thanet.

Oakwood homes have four branches throughout East Kent and have been established since 2005, covering residential sales, lettings, property management, land & new homes, mortgages, financial services and property investment.

Both companies have a long-standing association with the area as Paul and Andrew have schooled, lived and worked in Thanet for 30+ years respectively and share similar ethical views on running their business based on the foundation of transparency and excellent customer service.

Commenting on the news, Andrew Dickinson Founder and Managing Director of Oakwood homes, said: ‘When Paul and I first started to discuss the possibility of our businesses aligning, it all made a lot of sense very quickly. We both share a passion for people and property, which can be seen by the very loyal members of staff we have the pleasure of working with - and the high number of repeat clients returning to us both for business advice over the years. Joining the firms is a strategic move to further strengthen our Lettings and Property Management business as well as increasing our overall share in the local market’

Paul McGuirk Founder and Managing Director of Parkland Estates shared. ‘I am very excited by this acquisition.   Andrew and I worked together many years ago and when we first met to explore this project, it was uncanny how our principles and ethical approach are still so well aligned.  For me it was essential to pick the right partner to ensure the high standards our clients expect, are not only maintained, but are improved upon. I am looking forward to working with Andrew in the new team. ‘

Andrew further commented: ‘Moving forward, we have several plans to diversify into additional sectors of the industry that will offer a complete service to our existing and new clients in the future. We are actively adapting to the rapid changes seen across the country in the property industry, as demand for greater openness and transparency rightly becomes evident. Both firms have always prided themselves on remaining nothing but professional with all aspects of their business, so this is a very natural journey for us all that we welcome with open arms. Clients will continue to receive the very best service from everyone in the growing company.’ The companies will now operate as one under Oakwood homes.

Paul is now joining the Oakwood team as Commercial Director.
