You may have seen we’ve started tagging our posts and blogs with the hashtag #WeLiveWhereYouLive at the end. This is because we’ve started something big we want to share with you, focussing on our local community in 2021…
If you’ve been following our posts, you’ve probably seen the phrase #WeLiveWhereYouLive pop up time and time again. We believe this phrase accurately describes our main goals for Oakwood Homes in 2021 – being a part of, and helping, our local communities. We’ve included the hashtags for ease of search – simply clicking on the hashtag will bring up all our relevant local community content.
So why have we chosen this particular phrase and what does it mean for you?
Living where you live
The first reason is pretty self-explanatory – our staff, our founders, our directors, valuers, negotiators and partners are LOCAL to you. They know the local area, they know the target market, they know hotspots, where’s best to eat, the best shops, where kids go to school, where to go for walks, the list goes on… We feel this puts us in the best position possible to serve our community. Not just in property but in other areas too.
Helping the local community is important to us
We do everything we can to help those around us, because you are our neighbours! We don’t want to see issues with parking, problems with homelessness, businesses closing down or litter on our beaches because we actually live here, walk here and work here. This means we will fight for clean beaches, happier locals and those in need on our streets. You could say it’s a cause close to our hearts because it’s close to our homes!
We want to boost local small independent businesses
As a local independent business ourselves, we know the importance of boosting others like us in our local area. By banding together, and helping each other out, we can lift our whole community, making Thanet a better, more resourceful and happier place to live year by year.
We genuinely LOVE and CARE about Thanet
Our love for our community will come across in everything we do – within or outside of our jobs. When love and care come into the picture, it means a better service for everyone, going the extra mile and showing LOVE in our actions towards others.
We hope this shows WHY our goals for 2021 are directed towards living in, loving for and working harder with our local community. You’ll continue to see #WeLiveWhereYouLive pop up on our social media from time to time – these posts are especially directed towards our community work and neighbour focussed efforts.
